In October 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Clearly Natural Essentials for the alleged false advertising of its products. These claims included products such as  Pure and Natural Tea Tree Glycerine Soap, Pure and Natural Lemon Glycerine Hand Soap, and Pure and Natural Glycerine Body Lotion, as they were advertised and branded as “Clearly Natural” and “Pure and Natural” when in reality, they contain artificial and synthetic ingredients. For reference, the case can be found under: Ciancio et al v. Beaumont Products Inc. d/b/a Clearly Natural Essentials, Case No. 16-cv-8124, S. D. NY.
