Class Action Suit Over Note 7
By Consider The Consumer on October 20, 2016
Recently, it has been reported that Samsung's Note 7 fallout continues to expand as a possible class action lawsuit looms over the company's head after three former Note 7 owners joined together to take the company to court.
The lawsuit will need a judge's approval before commencing, but is interestingly enough unrelated to the damages and injuries caused by the phone's safety issues. The plaintiffs are instead suing Samsung for how it managed its recall of the product, claiming that this caused them to go without a smartphone for weeks at a time. More so, the plaintiffs accuse Samsung of charging them for the device and plan charges.
The news comes about just a week after the company ceased the manufacturing of its handset - a decision determined by the increasing numbers of devices that have reportedly overheated and burst into flames.
