Recently, a class action lawsuit for false advertising, unfair business, warranty, intentional misrepresentation, and unjust enrichment was filed against leading deli meat provider Boar's Head. The case alleges that Boar's Head falsely markets its cheese products as "natural," even though they contain ingredients derived from genetically modified organisms (GMOs). While looking into this Boar's Head Class Action, I became about wary about the food industry on the whole. Taking Boar's Head, and knowing what a huge company they are, serving millions per day, it is scary to assess the fact that even the largest company cut costs and potentially harm the public in lying to its consumers.
