Facebook NFL Deal Will Provide In The Huddle Coverage
By Consider The Consumer on September 27, 2017
It appears as if getting onto the field with your favorite NFL players may be a bit easier in the coming seasons, as Facebook has announced that it will be partnering with the league to deliver you special, "high-profile" content. No, the social media platform will not be censoring Bears games to heighten your mood on Sundays, but instead plan to bring you a better experience by providing unique football highlights to Facebook users worldwide as part of its streaming, cable killing, television-esque, new platform. In short, this Facebook NFL deal looks like it can only benefit the consumer.
For instance, it's always a good time to hear your favorite players breathe, curse, and talk about their feelings on the sideline, so if you're into that, you can look forward to Facebook's new Sound FX series, which intends to place your, out of shape, slightly overweight frame into the middle of an NFL huddle from the comfort of your couch.
The social media company will also feature NFL Turning Point, where they will highlight key moments in big games, so we can further criticize who made the most costly mistake and caused the loss for your hometown team, and your fantasy league.
As time moves on and Facebook and Amazon begin to take over the world, cool things like this are going to become second nature. Where do you see it going in the next few years? Will TV become obsolete? Will you be watching all of your sports through your phone?
